One day in April 2010 while Julio was playing piano, I realized that he was going through a profound moment of inspiration. I knew it was a unique moment in time. I was so taken that I began recording at once. I wanted to make sure the music would be preserved and eventually published. I also knew I wanted to be a part of it ­so a few months later, when I felt the moment was right, I sat in front of my drums and for 13 minutes and 40 seconds ­ the exact time I recorded that day­ in one take, piano and drums became one. These recordings are the result of some more days months and years  in the studio; each piece of music, one shot, one take, two friends and one impression.
